More progress…

Turns out I don’t need to use the XML RPC interface to Livejournal, and it’s a good thing too, because Ghoulnet don’t allow socket support for PHP to be turned on because “it has been used in the past to perform hack attempts on our servers so we do not enable this service anymore”, which was pretty much what I was expecting, to be honest.

Anyway, I’ve worked out how to use the flat interface to query livejournal (the documentation wasn’t extraordinarily helpful, but I guess it would help if I knew more about HTTP), so a full embed of the workingwith.me.uk blog should be online by the end of the week, work permitting. I’ll make sure I write all of this up once I’ve finished - from a few googles it seems that I’m not the only person who has been struggling a little with this.
